Emergency Medical Evacuation

On Sunday 22nd of April Chatham's Pacific were granted an exemption to fly on a Sunday to operate an emergency flight to Vava'u so that a surgeon from Tongatapu could come to the aid of a local woman who was in danger of losing her baby through complications during labour. We are pleased to have received news from the surgeon that the mother and baby are recovering well, and are expected to make a full recovery.

Chatham's Pacific is proud to operate these non-revenue flights to provide an essential lifeline to the communities living in the outer islands of Tonga.
