Tongatapu

Tongatapu is host to the International Airport and Nuku’alofa, its capital. Its many attractions include pristine beaches, coral Islands and reefs, blow holes and extensive archaeological sites. You will also find the Chathams Pacific Head Office here. Tongatapu will serve as your launch point for your Tongan holiday.

Eua

Flight time: 20 minutes from Tongatapu
Frequency: Daily
Why you should go there: With only 8 minutes in the air you can enjoy easy day trips to Eua. Or why not stay a little longer? Being 30 millions years older than the other Tongan Islands, Eua is a much treasured National Park with many unique features.

Ha’apai

Flight time: 30 minutes from Tongatapu or Vava’u
Frequency: daily from Tongatapu
Why you should go there: There is no traffic, no crowds and no queues - just peace and tranquility. You can relax or put on your swimmers, hire some snorkels and flippers or diving gear and discover the magnificent coral reefs and caves that abound in Ha’apai. Try your skill at sea kayaking or horse riding along a beautiful white sandy beach.

Vava’u

Flight time: 55mins from Tongatapu or 30 mins from Ha’apai
Frequency: Daily or twice daily from Tongatapu
Why you should go there: The waters of Vava’u are truly magnificent - you can see the bottom at 40 metres. Maybe that is why the whales keep coming back each year! Charter a boat and take some time to explore the beautiful waterways and discover for yourself why Vava’u is one the world’s most favoured sailing destinations.

The Niua’s - Niuafo’ou and Niuatoputapu

Flight time: Please inquire
Frequency: Once a week departing from Vava’u for both destinations
Why you should go there: Across the north of Tongatapu lies the two Niuas – Niuafo’ou and Niuatoputapu. They are about 300 miles from the main island of Tongatapu and with virtually no tourism, offer the ultimate peaceful and relaxing back-to-nature experience.
